2014 Tennessee Cup

Presented by Premier Soccer Services and Plan Ahead Events Nashville South

Dates: August 29 – September 1, 2014

Location: Richard Siegel Park, 515 Cherry Lane, Murfreesboro

Held over Labor day weekend in Murfreesboro, TN and Smyrna, TN, Tennessee Cup is an elite youth soccer tournament featuring about 300 teams from the region. Enjoy free access to soccer games, shopping with our local vendors and tasty food truck treats. Kids activities and games make it a perfect option for the whole family!

15th Annual Grape Stomp at Sumner Crest Winery

Date: Saturday, Aug 30th, 2014, 2:30 p.m.

Location: 5306 Old Highway 52, Portland (event is held on the lawn)

Admission: Free!

Fulfill all your Lucy fantasies by actually getting in a tub of grapes and seeing what your feet and toes can do. There’s a contest to see who can produce most juice in a certain time period. Live music by “Soul Soup” from 6:30 to 9:30. Kick back and relax, enjoy the music or dance the night away. Bring your own lawn chairs or blanket.

Day Out With Thomas

Location: Tennessee Central Railway Museum, 220 Willow Street, Nashville

Admission: $16-$20/ticket

Day and Time Info: Saturday, Aug 30th, 2014. Trains depart every hour between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., rain or shine. Please arrive 1 hour prior to departure.

Looking for a more kid-friendly event? Day Out With Thomasâ„¢ offers an opportunity for children and their families to take a 25 minute ride with Thomas the Tank Engineâ„¢ and to meet Sir Topham Hattâ„¢, the Controller of the Railway. Every event has a Thomas & Friends Imagination Station with Thomas-themed activities including stamps, temporary tattoos, hands-on arts and crafts, and a Thomas storytelling and video viewing area.
